Meet the Brandon Cross team
Justin Cross
Managing Director
Justin is an accomplished enterprise software and
information security specialist, with over 30 years’ experience helping businesses
achieve their goals.
Justin started out as a micro-computer enthusiast in the early 80’s, and gained a degree in Artificial Intelligence in 1987. He has since honed his skills as a software engineer, team leader and consultant, developing complex knowledge-based systems in Finance, Telecommunications, Utilities and Manufacturing. In addition Justin is well travelled having lead many clients across Europe in deploying Rights Management solutions (IRM / eDRM) for a UK based start-up, which was then acquired by Oracle.
Justin has now been running Brandon Cross for over 14 years with a wide portfolio of clients from early stage start-ups, charities and micro consultancies through to large multi-national corporations.
James Valentine
Solution Consultant
James comes to us with considerable experience in business software and online services
to allow clients to run their businesses more efficiently.
In recent years his focus has been on enabling the marketing function, where his specialisms have been the tools surrounding campaign management, assisting with bespoke, large scale CMS development and Business Intelligence for the streams of data that result.
James has been engaged in industries as diverse as aircraft parts engineering, commodities imports, land management, family law, mobile content advertising, legal training (CPD), and share trading to name a few.
Terry Carr
Full Stack Developer
Terry develops bespoke web applications and mobile apps tailored to our customers’
needs, and ensuring all our I.T. and development processes run smoothly.
Terry is a real team player, supporting the testing and deployment of a number of software solutions, and the development of bespoke cloud based web applications tailored to our customers’ needs.
Terry has bags of technical know-how, enthusiasm, and a Triple Grade Merit BTEC Extended Diploma in IT, Terry is a resourceful asset, self sufficient in quickly identifying new technologies with which to construct some amazing systems, as well being able to resolve challenging technical issues when they arise.
Steve Nunez
Artificial Intelligence Specialist
Steve’s experience in Artificial
Intelligence and
Common Lisp spans more than 20 years, beginning with the NASA
Artificial Intelligence laboratory building real-time reasoning systems.
In his career he has designed AI applications using the full spectrum of techniques, from expert systems through to today’s algorithms involving neural networks, including transformer models. His current focus is advanced numerical/statistical forecasting and data visualizations in Common Lisp.
Kevin Brown
Solution Consultant
Kevin has over 20 years’ experience in helping companies
to streamline their systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Kevin graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering, before leaving South Africa for the sunny shores of the UK. He soon discovered his skills were more effectively employed in IT, but he has maintained a deep involvement with the Construction industry over the years.
Kevin has developed a wide range of systems, leveraging his in-depth knowledge of business processes, particularly in Construction and related sectors like Transport and Safety.
Christian Verbois
Solution Consultant
Christian is an experienced, hands-on, and diligent software architect.
He has been involved in the design and implementation of customer interaction and
knowledge solutions for the past three decades.
Working on the cutting edge of enterprise knowledge and AI for such a period has resulted in Christian having experience in a broad range of applications and an in-depth understanding of how to integrate them. Christian prides himself on his ability to work on every aspect of enterprise architecture.
His analytical mind and hunger for knowledge allows him to add value to any knowledge focused project. Regularly travelling the world to visit client sites, he has used his language skills and personable nature to overcome the challenges of different cultures, often building relationships that result in effective continued engagement and mutual success.
Nick West
Senior Java Developer
Nick comes with a wealth of expertise specific to the world of Java, building,
maintaining and enhancing high-volume and business critical enterprise solutions.
Having started serious coding when Java was launched in the UK (1996), he's not left the Java world. Moving in to enterprise solutions in 2002 building business critical solutions, hands-on and leading teams of like-minded professionals along the way.
Nick's highlight so far has been leading the team at Avis Europe generating 200k of rental agreements every day for the EAME countries. He was responsible for the ongoing development of the system ever enhancing in feature-sets and also quality along the way.
Nick is an enthusiastic tech guy yet able to communicate in the non-tech world.
Dawn Cross
Human Resources Director
Dawn has a sixth sense when it comes to 'reading' people, making sure everyone is
working to the best of their abilities.
Dawn makes sure that everything is taken care of so we can focus on achieving miracles with technology.
